In 2009, Kelley Fallin had an idea. She had a vision of the sort of shop that would provide fiber lovers with the materials and tools that they needed for any project imaginable. Drawing on her knowledge as a spinner, knitter, weaver, and of tools for all of these mediums, Kelley set out to put together a shop where people could gather to enjoy their interest in fiber and find quality products. By the fall of 2010, Kelley had found a building, contacted vendors, and put together a team to open Knit Unique on November 13th! In the ensuing years, Knit Unique has become a welcoming destination for folks from far and near. Social knit night, classes, special events, and an “open sofa” policy have made Knit Unique a favorite!
